SciFi lands new Doctor Who

Booyah!!!! I’ve been hoping someone will pick up these 13 shows, and America will finally get to see what the UK loved early last year.

I just pray they don’t hack them to bits. (I doubt it though).

I saw a couple of weird signs over the last month, and while I didn’t get pictures of them, trust me in when I tell you that it is indeed real.

The first one I saw around New Year’s at a video store here in JC (Movie Starz on North Roan, for those of you local folk here) advertising their new releases to the effect of…

Looks like they added a lot of exorcisms to that film, (groan).

Now, the second one I saw was last Saturday on Greg and I’s jaunt down US 321 in Blount County. This was on a gas station near Scenic TN 73.

OK, so I’m tidying up an old personal ad I have (which of course reads that I’m in a relationship and only seeing friends), when I get a message over Yahoo. This is only because my screenname is listed as a form of contact. Turns out this guy is from Brunei. Brunei? Yes, that Brunei. Is there a country that dosen’t have internet capability these days? I tell you.

And I have one thing to lament on: Carson fucking Palmer. What a bad break for him and his ACL/MCL. Ouch. I went 1-3 this weekend. Ouch for me too, but at least I didn’t tear out my MCL or ACL making the picks.

Week 17 and the regular season has ended. Eric Duncan is the leader and the champ of the regular season. I wish I had a trophy to give out, but, and Eric, I think you’re in my boat on this, I’m a broke college student too, lol.

I’m going to be picking in the playoffs and I hope you all will be too. Thanks for participating for those of you who choose not to pick in the playoffs (if there are any).

Now, nobody is required to pick in the playoffs, but if you do, please exercise the tiebreaking procedure. Very simply, try to predict what the total points scored between the two teams will be. Details and such on how the tie is broken is over at the standings page.

If you think there was an error with your record, I’m going to re-verify all the standings later on tonight (I’ve already checked Curt’s and corrected a discrepancy), just to make double sure I have everyone’s records correct. If you think there is an error, please email me at [email protected]

Well, not much to say on these few days after Christmas leading up to the new year, been spending most of the week over at Greg’s place, which is where I will be ringing in the new year, watching ABC no doubt to see how Dick Clark is doing. I think he’ll be OK, it’ll be great to have him back in the swing of things on ABC.
