A New Website…

Folks, I have finally established the section of my website that I’ve been wanting to do for years. My contribution to the roadgeeking community is here…

Roads of Northeast Tennessee

Only one page of pictures is up so far, TN 70 in Hawkins County, please do take a look at that.

And may I request that you PLEASE, PLEASE give me some feedback as to the look/formatting of the site. I’d appreciate it.

Sunday Sunday

Well, another boring Sunday has come. Have had a good weekend with Greg, going up to Roanoke on Friday, then just out exploring the roads yesterday and taping footage. Thinking of going to a baseball game tonight and trying out a new tripod we got and how my camera skills play out.

Just wanted to drop a quick linke. Hey jarockjores, shout at me on AIM sometime, screenname is ETSUBuc25.

Toodles.

Mark it in the history books that as of 2:25 AM early on the morning of 7 July 2005, I offically completed the last assignment in Radio/TV Writing. THANK GOD!!!!

That is all…

Writer’s Thoughts…

You know, being in this Radio/TV Writing Class has been fascinating, especially when I get to critique other commercials and read all sorts of insane ideas. It’s just amazing what some people will try to pass off for a “script”.

For example: we had a 30-second radio spot assigmnent for “Ache Eze”, a joint/muscle pain reliever that comes in a new, cream roll-on version that won’t stain. I read one of the ads, and saw the following notation…

SFX: APPLYING CREAM

…and I tried to hold back the laughter. When I told Greg about it, I lost it completely. How in the world are you supposed to simulate this sound effect? Does it sound like someone making yogurt, or someone opening a fresh can of tennis balls (you know, when the air escapes)? Baffles the hell out of me…

Oh well, at least I’ll just turn in my work and hope it’s halfway decent. Anyone want to read stuff, let me know and I’ll send stuff over.

I got up this morning and just felt drained. Completely drained. Like I didn’t want to leave my room and be seen in the world. It was a very insecure feeling. I have to get back on my horse because me and two others are meeting at 7:00 PM to discuss a PSA project due a week from Friday. I also have two script premise checks due tomorrow. Gee, now I know what it’s like to be a writer in television (well, sorta I guess, at least I don’t have to have a whole draft by tomorrow).
