Last weekend is that one out of 50-or-so weekends in the year that gives me hell: allergy time. At least I think it was my allergies. Here is the progression of this:

Friday Afternoon: Starting feeling a tickle in my throat and cough slighly. Prepared for the worst knowing this is the onset of something.

Friday Night: Full blown cough, then felt cold all over and had to get under the blankets with sweatpants on.

Saturday Afternoon: Prior to Greg coming over, I could not stand to be out of the bed, I was mondo-cold. He comes over, then we go out to find medicine. He even gets my apple juice and a digital thermometer (hey, he *really* knows how to take care of his guy). My temperature: 98.3, normal.

Saturday Night: Start feeling chilled again and had a busting headache. Laid down under covers and Greg took my temperature again. 100.2, I broke a big fever. How did I have that bad of a swing in few hours? Baffled me.

Sunday Morning: Woke up, no fever. I felt normal, but still had a very bad cough and the sniffles.

Sunday Night: Same as above.

Monday: Just a cough and some sneezing. Yeah, I’ve definately hit the allergy portion now with the cold good and settled in in the area.

Hopefully I’ll be over this is a few days, preferably before Thursday. My NFL turkey day picks will be up on Wednesday.

BTW: Regarding the previous mention of the comment issue, disregard that. I have the solution. click THIS link, and follow the prompts to become a full fledged member of the community. Then we can all be happy. 🙂

The higher elevations along the TN/NC border (above 2500 ft.) are seeing the first snow of the season, with snow possibilites (or at least a slushy mix) being bandied about for tomorrow in the lower elevations. Gotta love that weather!

Well, I must say that this birthday has quite possibly been the best of my life.

The day started out like any other, with Vid/Film Tech. this morning, got a project done and turned it in. No sweat.

After Greg finished up class for the day, we went to visit with my family for a little while, had a good chat with my sister.

Then Greg totally became the sweetheart du jour and took me out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday. Baby back ribs all the way baby! Good eating, and what a good man. But, as I told him, he didn’t have to buy me that dinner to convince me of his love for me. He’s special, he was my one true present that I can always keep, hehe. 🙂

I just wonder if anyone will notice anything about today… to me anymore, it’s just another day.

Going to watch a playoff game tonight, lots of excitement indeed. Hopefully I won’t freeze to death. 😛

Well, got to History of Jazz on Friday, and the professor said he was very disappointed by what happened on Wednesday, and rightfull so. Enough said there.

Me and Greg went down to Knoxville to finally get a chance to see the George Clooney film about Edward R. Murrow’s stance against Senator Joseph McCarthy, “Good Night and Good Luck”. This was a very interesting film on many levels, I was just taken aback at how serious of a journalist that Murrow is, further adding to how much I admire his style and character of reporting the news. If you would have to admire anyone, it should always be him. This film is also a great study of how stupid McCarthy really was during this era, as history shows, Murrow didn’t do him in, McCarthy did himself in and Murrow simply reported the facts as they stood.

If you get a chance, go see this film, I think you really will enjoy it.
