Sunday Morning without Charles Kuralt

First of all, new icon, and I know that xanfan will get it right off the bat, but I hope everyone does 😛

Next, what’s going on with obeyjustin? I tried to go to his page and got an error. I hope he’s OK. sport6449, I hope his family is not trying to overtake him.

Additionally, Happy Birthday to starwheel!

Had a great weekend. Sat out in the rain at Morristown on Friday night to watch some high school football in which Class 4A Region 2 was possibly decided for this year. Morristown West 35, Daniel Boone 19. Nothing like a good game in the slop, hehe.

A question to those of you who have attended a NFL game, what are the costs like? I have thought about trying to go to one sometime in the future and wondered what I’d be looking at.

Not much more for now, catch the updates later today on .

Bon appetit.

Not much to say. Picked up a DVD at a gimme price today. Wal-Fart, yes, them, had Dark Shadows Collection 1 for $29.99. That’s right, $29.99. Only problem is that Greg has heard through the rumor mill that they haven’t ever offered anything but Collection #1. Blah.

Had a History 2020 exam yesterday, and I think I done good, at least 85 (I hope).

EDIT: Got a 76, oh well. :-\

BTW, I’m back on the air on “The Edge”, Mondays from 2-4. This development has prompted me to change my DJ name. So, henceforth I shall be know as …… DJ Stuart, in honor of my favorite character, Stewie (who else?)

Not much more for now. Off to bed. Later.

Moron Alert!!!

I have been subjected to a moron’s wrath concerning message. Not here, but via e-mail. And it’s nothing to do with Harvey, but it might as well be…

…Darryl Heine. Yes Mike K., stop hyperventilating, yes hiim.

What spurned this was a message on Golden-Road.net that got bumped in the “Out in Left Field” section when I inquired about 1970s PBS kids shows and if anyone knew of tape traders that have them.

Now, the jerk must have gotten my E-Mail address from my profile (which I do list publicly, although I need to change it to something less personal I guess, I don’t want my Z account here on campus everywhere I suppose, anyway…)

Here is the message:

“Nicholas: Glad you remember 1970’s PBS kids shows “Thinkabout” and “Inside/Out”. Do you also remember at the same 1970’s time “Sesame Street”, “Mr. Rogers”, “Electric Company”, “Zoom”, and “Villa Agerie”? Today PBS Kids has “Clifford”, “Dragon Tales”, “Sagwa”, “Barney and Friends”, “Big Comfy Couch”, “Teletubbies”, “Boobah”, and “Arthur”.

First of all, did I want to know what’s on today? Second, the post only referred to “Thinkabout” and “Inside Out”, and not all that other stuff, especially not today’s stuff. Lastly, I just plain dislike him.

To which, I sent a simple, calm-as-can-be reply…

“Leave me alone.

Thanks.”

And then I appropriately put him on the Junk E-Mail list on Outlook.

I know I’m not the first to deal with him. But the moral of this story is, do idiots ever learn? Guess not when you’re more than 30 frickin’ years old (judging by his screenname) and don’t have a clue as to how to be civil and just a tad bit intelligent! Geez!

That’s enough ranting for now.

Videos Abound

Got a new vintage VHS in today, Doctor Who- “The War Games”, the ten part finale of Patrick Troughton’s reign as the Doctor from 1969. Watching Episode Three right now, it’s a very interesting story. It’s also the last Doctor Who produced in black and white. This aired in June 1969, just weeks before BBC1 began their color broadcasting permanently.

Not much to report other than that, except that I’m looking forward to Video/Film Techniques as always tomorrow morning, especially to see my guy too (in class and after class that is).

Also going to pick up the new Family Guy DVD tomorrow too, “Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story”. I’m sure several of you reading out there plan to get this too. I’ll be sure to post my thoughts and I expect to hear yours as well.

Alas, off to bed, tata.
