I guess I need to update since it’s been eleven days, lol…. how the time flies.

I have started a new project, me and Greg are out taping the oddities and interesting stuff in locals across the area, catering to the travel crowd and to the roadgeeking establishment, it’ll be a series of 10-15 minute spots, called “Road Trip to Nowhere”, and we’re in the process of gathering two shows worth of material. You all will finally get to see me doing some field reporting, complete with microphone in hand. It’s been turning out pretty neat so far, you all will like it once it gets done.

And speaking of which, I’ve already used up 73% of my bandwidth this month on my website… uh-oh… robertsearcy, I think we may need to have a chat about those hosting plans again…

The writing class is going good, I’m slowly finding my way to be a good writer, but then again, everyone must go this route. Nobody is born a good writer.

Well, off to bed, and I’ll try to update more frequently this week.

Well, my Radio/TV Writing class starts next Monday. Looking forward to it, as this is a tool that will figure prominently in my career, whatever might happen.

Finally got over the strep throat, back to normal, working my life away. Did I mention that I don’t like my job already? Let’s just say that I think a mandate should be ensued in this country that if you like something, you’ll call and renew it, don’t call them. I know how poor people feel. But, as long as it pays my bills till I get my car paid off, I can find something else. What else am I gonna do….

Things with me and Greg are fine as always…

Haven’t heard from my family in quite a while, but then again, I don’t want to involve myself in that drama, only will keep tabs on my brother and his wife getting ready to have their son in August. Can’t wait to meet my nephew 😛

And yes Mike, I’m watching a 1980 Cleveland Browns highlight film, the team otherwise known as the “Kardiac Kids”. What a season that was, culminating in a -36 below zero wind chill playoff game in old Muincipal Stadium with Oakland. The quarterback that year was Brian Sipe… looks like he was on the backend of his career… but alas, faded into retirement.

Toodles for now…

Well, I don’t know what to say about my new job, except that it’ll do for now. It’s not the best line of work in the world, but hey, I’ll give it a shot.

Am I glad it’s Friday, that means a day with my guy. 🙂 We’re planning on going to a drive-in locally tonight and watching Ep. III yet again, we both can’t get enough of this movie!

I’ve been having problems sleeping this week. I sleep periodically at night, and then try to get up in the morning and constantly fall asleep in my chair here at my desk and wake up to find that 15, 20 or 30 minutes have passed by. I’m scared. I think I might need to see a doctor about this problem. I don’t want to start taking Sominex, Nytol or anything like that…

Oh well, at least I have today to live for 😀

Thoughts…

I’m still impressed with my experiment, it turned out very well. I definately have to get some sound clips up sometime…

Greg is coming over tomorrow, and we’re going to go watch the colossal rematch and then off to Star Wars on Thursday (I’m excited, lol).

Not much to say other than the weather is beautiful outside.

BTW, dig the new icon, modified it myself :-D. I’m learning slowly gang stuff that most of you have known how to do for years!

Got a call from university advisement today. Apparently I can’t take a 1000 level Math in summer before I finish that damn Intermediate Algebra in the fall. So, I switched that for a history class, “US to 1877”. Oh well, at least by end of fall, I’ll have both history requirements in my core out of the way.

Went to the Region 1 Semifinal tonight, Morristown East at Science Hill, and I tried an experiment. Using a handheld cassette recorder purchased from Radio Shack (price: $29.99), I did my own play by play as if I was on the radio. Now, this is an experiment. Fortunately, no fans looked at me as if I was weird. And I had a hoot. Maybe I’ll post samples sometime.

BTW, Science Hill won 6-5 in a thriller. My voice raised a few octaves in intensity several times throughout the game. I’m not an emotional play by play guy, but I’m enthusiastic, that’s for damn sure. 🙂

Sunday Sunday

I feel much better today. Yesterday must have been one of those weird phenomenons. I tried to watch a rebroadcast of Star Trek: Enterprise’s finale last night at 8:00, but there was a storm here on campus the hour before. Before I go any further, I should say that our ABC and UPN affiliiates are run by the same company. When I tuned to UPN, it was a rehash of ABC’s programming (NBA playoffs). I was pissed. Greg theorized it was a problem at the headend. Oh well, it’ll be out on DVD later this year, and my friend Dan probably taped it anyway, so I’ll get to see it nonetheless.

It’s 12:39 PM, and Greg hasn’t come online yet, this is weird… wonder when he’ll be online.

Stormy Weather

It’s coming a bad storm here in Johnson City right now, and I feel lonely. This is where I need my boyfriend. I never have liked thunderstorms, and I never will. Nature’s futility always scares me.

But, my Greggiepoo will be here tomorrow, so I have something to look forward to.

BTW, for some odd reason, I am colder than the dickens today. Can’t figure out why…

Website News…

Well, the resurrection of my website contiunes. But I have debuted my first new idea… called “The Price is Right Pricing Game Premiere Showcase”. Once a month there will be video of a debut of a pricing game from TPiR. And if it works out, it might be twice a month, but no more. I’m not gonna be hounded on this one. Hehe.

If you like, head on over to http://nickbrobeck.com and check it out. Leave me some feedback here or on my message board over there.

Ciao!
