Well, finals went very well, I have no fear that I have done well in all my classes. Grades will probably be at the beginning of next week.

I should have pointed out before that I’m taking the Non-Calculus version of Prob & Stats, so I don’t think my developmental algebra will need to be required before that.

Would have posted earlier today, but the campus network here in my apts. has been down for the last 24 hours, but mysteriously up everywhere else on campus. Odd.

Me and Greg have two front row seats to watch the Asheville Tourists play the Hagerstown Suns this Saturday night, first pitch scheduled for 7:00 PM and the weather looks to be spectacular. Also got tickets for the 4:25 PM showing of Star Wars Ep. III on 5/19/05 in Bristol. I’m glad I got an advance ticket to a good theather with good sound, unlike the Carmike here in Johnson City which has awful, and I mean AWFUL sound quality. I have never been that overly impressed with the quality of Carmike theaters in general.

Greg did cook me some of his non-spicy spanish rice tonight, good eating indeed. He really knows how to take care of a fat guy, hehe 🙂 But seriously, I do need to be more active in my downtime before the next job rolls around.

More to come later…

Weather Anyone?

I have found the coolest thing…

This will allow you to emulate the classic “Weather Channel” Local Forecast look.

It runs like a charm!

Give it a try…. 🙂

Guess I Should Update this thing…

Well, the semester will be over next week. Everything is looking good. Unless I do some dastardly deed, I’ve more or less got a A or B in Elem. Algebra. I’ve probably (more or less) got a B in Survey of Broadcasting. I think I’ll end up with a C in Public Speaking, mainly because of my laziness to get to a 9:20 class after my hellacious job.

Speaking of which, as of last night a midnight, I am no longer an employee of Citigroup. I chose to leave the company after two years. And let me tell you, it’s a load off of my shoulders. I am going to rest for a little bit and then find part time work of a less stressful nature closer to campus. Everyone supported me leaving, and I did not leave on bad terms. I would prefer it that way (especially so I can use them as a possible job reference in the future).

And did I mention that I can’t wait for Sunday night on Fox? Family Guy is back! Saw the sets on sale at Best Buy today for $32.99 with a T-Shirt. I like Stewie’s message on one of them, “We’re Back, wait ’til they hear my salary demands.”

Be sure that you’re tuned in to watch “North by North Quahog” on Sunday! 😀

Man, did I get wasted last night, hehe. Having a bad job will do that to you. In fact, I’m now more determined then ever to quit my job at some point this week.

Greg is going to come over today, and me and him are going to go research some at Sherrod Library here on campus for my research paper due this week and my persuasive speech in Public Speaking. Man I’ll be glad when all of this writing is over and done with.

Thinking about eating somewhere nice today too… who knows, maybe I’ll settle for McD’s. 😀

Updates on papers to come…

Things with me and Greg are going, well, let’s say better than hoped for. I was out and around on Saturday and had forgot to tell Greg where I was going. He freaked (as I would given the tables were turned) and came to the realization that he must really love me, and said so to me. I was flat out floored and felt all warm inside. It’s been a long long time since someone told me they loved me and meant it. This guy means a lot to me folks, I think that this is the one I’ve been waiting for for so long.

On other fronts, only three weeks of class left until the end of the semester. I’m taking a four week break, then doing my summer classes as previously discussed in the last entry.

Thinking of trying to take a trip to Atlanta again sometime soon, I loved being down there and would love to go around the city myself for a day, possibly even take in a Braves game. (Not that I like the Braves or anything, just never been to a MLB game). In researching ticket prices, I’m willing to pay $15 for a second level seat, but no more than that for one game.

Off to class I go! 🙂

Well, another week has passed, and what a wonderful week it was. Me and my guy are doing great, we had fun today… went and had some awesome 12 layer lasagna at Johnny Carino’s… one can never have too much Italian 😀

Work tomorrow: ugh. However, I have interviewed to take a part time job at a Blockbuster (yes, you read that right). I know, it’s a major cut in pay, but I want to focus on my studies, and I don’t need to worry about money problems at this point.

Only about three weeks of class left this semester, and I have registered for my summer and fall classes… Here’s the rundown…

Summer 2005
Session I- Radio/TV Writing
Session II- Prob/Stats (Non-Calculus)

Fall 2005
Video/Film Techniques
Into to Mass Communications
Intermediate Algebra (a damn DSPM requirement)
History of Jazz
And another class yet to be determined for general core

So, that’s all I have for now.

Fun with Video Capture….

I love my new TV Card, you don’t know how long I’ve longed for this capability….

Here is a page of captures from Monty Python’s Flying Circus

And a video file (the first ever that i’ve created) of the hilarious Zeppelin sketch from Episode 40

In other news… me and my guy are doing great, getting together with a few of my friends tomorrow at Ruby Tuesday’s here in town for food, drinks, and conversation, what i enjoy. Classes are good, got a bitch of an annotated bibliography due Wednesday, but it should be no problem to get done. My position paper this time in ENG 1020 will be on sensuality in Television, not just violence, but sex, language and the sort. Now, I’m not against them, but it’s just a topic with a lot of meat on the bones, and I think it’ll be an easy paper for me to do.

Off to bed… ciao.
