My Crazy Life With the Beautiful Game

OK, so it’s no secret that I have become a massive soccer (football) fan over the last 10 years. I liked watching it prior to that, but, as you know, with the coming of Atlanta United in 2017, the rest is history.

The game has been around a lot longer than that of course… and it’s time that I lay roots down to further my fandom. I made a post on social media today about a quest that I am embarking on. I’ll let my video do the talking here.

The time has come for me to make this announcement. #EFL, #PremierLeague, get ready! It's time for Nick to pick his side.

Now, you may be asking yourself why? Why make such a public deal about this? Why not just pick a team and go with it? Because I can’t. I just don’t know… that’s why I’m soliciting feedback from everyone. It also proves to me just how passionate everyone else is about the Beautiful Game too! The popularity of the sport has grown by leaps and bounds in just the last few years and it’ll only get better from here.

More to come!

Life As a Football Supporter

It’s not easy being a supporter of a football club sometimes. I really could blog about a lot of experiences in my life, especially in this piece of shit season that has been 2025 for Atlanta United.

Forget the face that as of this writing, we are about a day away from playing for the dreaded Wooden Spoon.

The one and only thing I want to document here is a simple word: PERSEVERANCE.

Why have I stuck around where a lot of fans have bailed? PERSEVERANCE.

Why do I bother with this silly game in an even sillier league? PERSEVERANCE.

Should I be doing other things? Probably, but my PERSEVERANCE makes me believe that not all days will be like this one. That could definitely be said about a lot of other things in my life right now, and if I have anything to show for the success I have had in my life, it’s definitely because of PERSEVERANCE. It has always held true and will continue to hold true in the future. I cannot debate that for one second.

In the end, your PERSEVERANCE, mine and yours, will win out.

Be kind to each other and keep going. The world needs you in it.
